A glimpse of keroncong music

Keroncong music is one of many style music that was born and developed in Indonesia. Complete with ‘package’ which includes form songs, rhythm, tempo, and various melodic patterns as ornaments.

The two main musical instruments that are characteristic are: Dude And Choke, At first glance, it looks like a ukulele, but in terms of playing technique, tuning, raw materials, model and sound quality, it is clear that these two instruments are different variants of the ukulele commonly used in Hawaiian music.

Dude small guitar with 4 strings, for tuning the strings from the highest note B4, F#4 then the adjacent strings 3 & 4 are tuned to the tone D. The resulting sound quality is more similar to a mandolin, made from strings stainless.

Choke 3 strings, string material nylonwith tuning E, B, G. Has a hole in the middle like a guitar, really.
