5 Ladies-led Kenyan startups to profit from Google for Startups Accelerator Africa

Google is celebrating Worldwide Ladies’s Day by saying three new initiatives to empower girls entrepreneurs in Africa and supply them with the sources they should succeed.

The initiatives embody the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa: Ladies Founders Cohort, the Hustle Academy for Ladies-Led SMEs, and a social media sequence celebrating inspiring girls in Africa’s know-how sector.

Folarin Aiayegbusi, Head of Startup Ecosystem, Africa, mentioned, “We’re thrilled to announce the chosen startups for the inaugural class of our Google for Startups Accelerator Africa: Ladies Founders Cohort. These girls are tackling a few of Africa’s most urgent challenges, and we’re excited to help them as they construct the longer term.” The 15 startups chosen for this system are from eight African nations and are creating modern options that enhance livelihoods of their communities.

Google’s Hustle Academy is a boot camp-style coaching program designed to assist entrepreneurs improve income, place themselves for funding, and construct sustainable companies for the longer term. As a part of its Worldwide Ladies’s Day celebrations, Google plans to host six women-focused cohorts of the Hustle Academy program in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa all through March.
