at Tsnada Musicafe – Chaka Music Production

If you’re looking for the definition of a perfect night in Jakarta, try to imagine this: the legendary Cikini air, the aroma of coffee, and the strains of jazz improvisations from homeland masters. That’s what happened on January 12 when I had the opportunity to share the stage at Tsnada Musicafe.

That night was not just an ordinary gig. Sharing energy with legendary figures is a great honor. There was Oele Pattiselanno, the guitar player with a golden touch, Cendi Luntung who kept the heartbeat of the music on the drums, and Fanny Kuncoro who livened up the atmosphere with her keyboard keys.

We brought several numbers that succeeded in making the cafe atmosphere very intimate, including:

• “Here, There and Everywhere” (The Beatles): We performed it in instrumental format. This classic song turns into a deep and emotional jazz ballad in the hands of Oele and friends.

• “Beija-Flor” (Nelson Cavaquinho): Gives a warm bossa nova touch, taking the audience’s imagination flying to an exotic yet relaxed Brazilian atmosphere.

This event, which took place from 20.00 to 22.00 WIB, was truly a musical oasis for everyone who attended.
