The name “Jazz Warung” has actually been ringing in my ears for a long time. my friend, Mas Suwandonooften threw out this idea when we were still doing it jam session at JAZZKINI, Cikini area, Central Jakarta. The vision is simple but strong: to create a hangout place where everyone can enjoy jazz music without having to feel burdened by “expensive” costs.

This dream finally came true in October 2025. After retiring from Unilever Group, Mas Suwandono officially ran a culinary business called “Masdon Warung”. This is where a new chapter begins; episode Jazz Shop Vol. 1 The premiere was held on October 10 with a special appearance from ITC Trio.

Intimate Atmosphere and Typical Culinary

There are unique views that may rarely be found in other places. Here, visitors can freely enjoy improvised jazz tunes while eating typical Tegal side dishes, fresh Nasi Garang Asem, and delicious Chicken Satay.

relaxed atmosphere, friendlyand full of warmth was felt, especially when Mas Dono—that’s his nickname—greeted each new guest who came directly. There is no barrier between musicians and fans; all melting into familiar harmony.

A Place of Expression for All Circles

Warung Jazz is now home to a very diverse audience. Starting from office workers who want to unwind, teenagers who are curious about jazz, to students who do their college assignments while using the facilities Free Wi-Fi.
